Do I have to apply to the universities on my own?

Yes, you should apply to a local university of your choice even as you concurrently put in an application to be considered for this scholarship.


Is there a list of approved universities that I should apply to?

As the scholarship is tenable at local universities, scholarship applicants should be seeking admission or have been accepted for admission into Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Singapore Management University (SMU) or Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).


Do I need to secure a place in the university before applying for the scholarship?

No, you do not need to have secured a place in the university before you apply for the scholarship. You should however be seeking admission into Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Singapore Management University (SMU) or Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). You will be required to indicate the university and courses that you have applied to in your online application form.


Which courses of study can I take up in university?

The sponsoring organisations are from a wide range of industries and will need talents from diverse courses of study except Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary Science and other healthcare-related disciplines. You should refer to each sponsoring organisation’s list of approved courses of study.


If I am not accepted into an approved course of study required by my sponsoring organisation, will my scholarship be withdrawn?

If your sponsoring organisation is not willing to sponsor your undergraduate studies due to your failure to gain acceptance into an approved course, you may be released without penalty by your sponsoring organisation.


What if I decide not to take up an approved course of study after receiving an offer from an approved university, and instead choose another course of study that is not explicitly approved by my sponsoring organisation?

You should consult your sponsoring organisation before you make your final decision. In the event that your sponsoring organisation is not willing to fund your scholarship for this alternative course, you will be liable for the $1,000 penalty if you have already signed the Letter of Undertaking.


Do I have to maintain a certain academic standard during the period of my undergraduate studies? What is that minimum requirement?

You are required to pass all your official modules and be on course to complete a degree with honours. You will receive specific guidelines after your university and course have been confirmed.
