SgIS Mid-Term Overseas

SgIS Mid-Term Overseas is tenable for young Singapore Citizens who are currently pursuing their full-time undergraduate studies overseas.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Good undergraduate results across all disciplines (excluding Dentistry, Medicine and other healthcare-related disciplines) from an overseas universities
  • Have completed at least 1 academic semester and have not embarked on final year of study at point of application
  • Good co-curricular activities (CCA) record and leadership achievements
  • Passion to contribute to Singapore’s strategic sectors
Value of Award & Bond Period A one-time grant as partial coverage for university related expenses. Grant amount will depend on the academic years remaining at point of application.Applicants with more than 2 academic years remaining in university at point of application:

  • Duration of Bond: 3 years
  • Grant Amount: SGD 60,000

Applicants with 1 to 2 academic years remaining in university at point of application:

  • Duration of Bond: 2 Years
  • Grant Amount: SGD 40,000
Application  Application for SgIS Mid-Term 2015 has closed.

Selection period for SgIS Mid-Term 2015 is from April to July 2015.

Only shortlisted applicants will be informed and invited for selection interviews by the sponsoring organisations.

    @Leon The duration of bond is pegged to the type of scholarship you are on, i.e. if you study at NTU and you are on SgIS Full-term, your bond will be 4 years, and if you are on SgIS Mid-Term Local, your bond will be 2 years long. Thank you.

    Hi. May I know if the duration of bond is pegged to the number of years of study. For e.g. if I take only 3 years to get complete a degree from ntu, do i still need to serve 4 years or just 3 years? Thanks!
