SgIS Mid-Term Local

SgIS Mid-Term Local is tenable for young Singapore Citizens who are currently pursuing their full-time undergraduate studies locally.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Singapore Citizens
  • Have completed at least 1 academic semester and have not embarked on final year of study at point of application
  • Good undergraduate results across all disciplines (excluding Dentistry, Medicine and other healthcare-related disciplines) from the following local institutions:

―   Nanyang Technological University (NTU)

―   National University of Singapore (NUS)

―   Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)

―   Singapore Management University (SMU)

―   Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)

  • Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records and leadership achievements
  • Passion to contribute to Singapore’s strategic sectors
Value of Award & Bond Period A one-time grant as partial coverage for university related expenses.Applicants with at least 1 academic year remaining in university at point of application:

  • Duration of Bond: 2 years
  • Grant Amount: SGD 30,000

    @Feranda Our participating organisations are the ones who indicate what their preferred courses of studies are. If there are certain courses of studies that the organisations are keen in, they would indicate them in the course of study list. Thank you.

    Dear SgIS team, I am enrolling in NTU's Philosophy programme in 2016 after diruption of my National Service. May I know what industries are recommended for my course of study? Although I am keen in working in arts and culture, philosophy is not listed as a preferred course of study. Am I still eligible to apply even though this is so? If not, what would be recommended?     @Richard The bond period for SgIS is standard across all participating organisations. For SgIS Full-Term, it varies between 3-4 years depending on your university. For SgIS Mid-Term Local, it is 2 years long, whereas for Mid-Term Overseas, it varies between 2-3 years. Thank you.
