2013 Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) Award Ceremony
Ninety-seven students received the Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) at the 2013 SgIS Award Ceremony held on 26 August, which was graced by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education. Amongst them were six students who were awarded the SgIS Mid-Term Scholarships. This is the first year that the mid-term scholarships are being offered to students studying in local and overseas universities.

Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) Fair and Information Session 2013
With 39 participating organisations across 13 different industries, the SgIS Fair and Information Session 2013 was held over 2 days on 23 February and 24 February at the Singapore Management University (SMU). Students and parents gained a deeper understanding of SgIS as well as the developmental opportunities provided by the participating organisations for SgIS scholars through the career talks and networking opportunities at the organisations’ booths.

Afternoon Tea
With the launch of the SgIS Mid-Term, an afternoon tea session was held on 5 August 2012 (Sunday). It provided a platform for overseas Singaporean undergraduates to network with representatives from participating organisations, world café style.
Students emerged with an enhanced understanding of the exciting opportunities present in the Singapore economy, and possible careers with our participating organisations through the SgIS Mid-Term.

Inaugural Award Ceremony
The inaugural SgIS Award Ceremony was held on 2 August 2012 (Thursday). A total of 90 SgIS scholars received their scholarship awards from senior representatives of our participating organisations. Our 28 participating organisations and 11 Economic Agencies also took part in a symbolic lighting of the SgIS logo to affirm their commitment to nurture a strong core of Singaporean talent through the SgIS.

Fair & Information Session
The SgIS Fair and Information Session was held on 18 March 2012 (Sunday) at the Singapore Management University (School of Accountancy). Participating organisations met with students and parents at their booths to address questions and showcase their organisations. Introductory talks on the SgIS and participating organisations provided students and parents with a deeper understanding of the developmental opportunities and career plans that are in place for
SgIS scholars.
