Infocomm Technology

Singapore has been harnessing infocomm technology (ICT) to enable its social and economic development since the 1980s. Increasingly, every key economic sector such as education, healthcare and finance relies on ICT to expand and increase business capabilities and revenues. Singapore is one of the most connected nations in the world where its individuals and businesses use ICT innovatively to enrich their lives and enhance their competitiveness. Today, more than 85 per cent of homes have broadband access and there is pervasive connectivity under the Wireless@SG programme, with more than 5000 wireless hotspots around the island.

New developments are expected to arise from the confluence of innovations that will bring about greater convenience for end-users, and the emergence of a new eco-system of hardware, software, and systems-level players that exploit sentient spaces. With skills that are portable across countries and industries, explore the multitude of opportunities that await you.
