Mid-Term Scholarship Terms

What will I receive under the scholarship?

SgIS Mid-Term scholars will receive a grant amount that will cover a proportion of the tuition fee expenditure and living allowances for their university education.

The grant amount for which applicants are eligible will depend on the number of years of undergraduate study remaining at the point of application.

SgIS Mid-Term Local SGD 30,000 At least 1 2 years

What is the duration of my bond?

Bond period may increase proportionately should SgIS scholars pursue a master’s degree under the sponsoring organisation’s sponsorship.

Which grant amount will I be eligible for?

Applicants who apply with 1-2 years of study remaining will qualify for the $40,000 grant with a 2-year bond.

Applicants who apply with more than 2 years of study remaining will qualify for the $60,000 grant with a 3-year bond.

Must I serve out my bond strictly in my sponsoring organisation?

Yes, SgIS scholars have a service obligation to their sponsoring organisation. One of the strengths of the SgIS is that SgIS scholars will have the opportunity for internships during their undergraduate studies and to gain direct entry into their sponsoring organisation upon graduation. By then, the sponsoring organisation would have dedicated significant resources to SgIS scholars through emplacement onto talent management programmes.

Will I receive sponsorship to pursue a master’s degree?

SgIS scholars may seek approval from their sponsoring organisation. Approval is subject to the needs of the sponsoring organisation.

Will I be allowed to hold other undergraduate scholarships concurrent to SgIS?

No.
