Applications will close on 1 April 2012.

How do I apply?

You can click here to complete and submit your online application.

When will I know if I have been shortlisted? When will the selection process take place?

The selection process will begin as soon as your application is submitted and may extend till June 2012. Only shortlisted applications will be informed. If you are shortlisted, the sponsoring organisation(s) can contact you at anytime during this period.

Do I have to indicate which sponsoring organisations I am interested in? How many sponsoring organisations should I select? Do I have to rank them? How many choices do I have?

From a selection of 28 sponsoring organisations, you can indicate up to five sponsoring organisations you are interested to work in. When filling up your application form, please consider carefully your level of interest to work and grow in that specific industry and sponsoring organisation.

What is the selection process like?

The assessment and selection practices may differ based on the needs of sponsoring organisations. Besides at least one interview, shortlisted candidates may be required by some sponsoring organisations to write responses to essay question(s) prior to/after the interview or complete certain required tests. You will receive more information when the sponsoring organisations contact you during the shortlisting process.

What does it mean to indicate that I am willing to be considered by all other sponsoring organisations?

This means that in the event that you are not shortlisted by your chosen five sponsoring organisations, you wish to be considered by other sponsoring organisations participating in this scholarship. If you are shortlisted by any of these sponsoring organisations, you will be informed by that organisation to participate in its selection process (e.g. attend its scholarship interview).

How will I know that I have been successful?

If you have been successfully shortlisted, you will be contacted by the sponsoring organisation(s) to participate in their selection processes. After that, if you are successfully selected to be offered the scholarship, the sponsoring organisation will send you a scholarship offer letter.

If I have attended interviews at more than one sponsoring organisation, will I be considered for the scholarship by all these organisations? If more than one sponsoring organisation offers me the scholarship, can I choose which to accept?

You may be invited to participate in the selection process (which usually includes an interview) of more than one sponsoring organisation, based on your indicated choices in the online application. If you are successfully selected to be offered the scholarship, the sponsoring organisation will send you a scholarship offer letter. While you may receive scholarship offers from more than one sponsoring organisation, you can accept only one offer by the deadline indicated in the offer letter – your chosen sponsoring organisation must receive the Letter of Undertaking with your signature by the deadline.

When is the deadline for submitting my acceptance of offer? What happens if I miss this deadline?

Your deadline for submitting the acceptance of offer will be indicated in the offer letter – your chosen sponsoring organisation must receive the Letter of Undertaking with your signature by the deadline.

Will I be liable for any penalty if I decide not to take up the scholarship after accepting the offer?

In the event that you choose not to take up the scholarship after submitting the Letter of Undertaking, you will be liable to pay a $1,000 penalty to the sponsoring organisation.

Can I choose more than one sponsoring organisation? Can I sign multiple copies of the Letter of Undertaking?

While you may receive scholarship offers from more than one sponsoring organisation, you are allowed to accept only one offer. If you submit more than one signed copy of the Letter of Undertaking, you will be liable to pay the $1,000 penalty to the sponsoring organisation(s) involved. The sponsoring organisation(s) will also reserve the right to retract their offers.
